Thanks for your interest in my campaign for re-election to the Idaho House, Seat 1A.

I’m serving my 4th year in the Idaho House of Representatives and would be honored if you will vote again for me on May 19th.

Why I’m Running

Serving is who I am: I’ve held a public service role since 1979.

I’m running for re-election because I believe ‘we’ still have things to get done. Top priorities include:

Improve our access to local healthcare, especially women’s healthcare
Reduce our wildland fire risks
Reduce homeowner’s insurance costs and increase carrier options

About Me

A career public servant, husband, father to three adult children, and proud Idaho conservative.

I love North Idaho. I’ve been a property owner and taxpayer in Bonner County since 1993, and a Bonner County resident since 2012.

Married with 3 adult children (blended family), I became a grandfather for the first time in 2025. Two of my kids are in public service themselves: one son is a Navy pilot and my daughter is a County prosecutor.

I’m active in the community as a volunteer with area professional groups, service clubs, schools and non-profits.

My Experience

Two-term District 1A Representative.

30 years in Fire Service (retired).

Firefighter, paramedic, engineer, captain, battalion chief, 8 years as fire chief.

3 years as City Administration after retiring from Fire Service.

Earned undergraduate and master’s degree while working in Fire Service.

30+ years and still active as a volunteer with professional groups, service clubs, schools and non-profits.

Served in leadership positions in professional and volunteer work.

Legislative Accomplishments

I drafted and carried bills for: elections, education boards, government efficiency, fire district efficiency, fire insurance, public safety, EMS administration, education transportation.
