Platform

Public service is key to my career, my community life and my family. I have the commitment, the dedication, and the courage to represent the citizens of Bonner and Boundary Counties in Boise.

Responsible Representation for North Idaho

The topics we overwhelmingly agree on constitute my platform. By regularly communicating with, and listening to the citizens, business owners and service providers of the District, I will be best positioned to represent your needs and priorities.

While in Boise, I will focus on:

1. Education

THE IDAHO CONSTITUTION directs the Legislature to provide a free school system for our communities. The original legislators knew this issue was paramount. Idaho families and businesses require convenient education opportunities to live and grow.  Educated residents make the best decisions possible today and for the future.

2. Healthcare

FOR FAMILIES TO GROW AND THRIVE, access to competent healthcare professionals and associated services is necessary. Business requires a healthy workforce to fill jobs and to provide services. Communities without (or with few) healthcare options are not as attractive for raising families or for businesses to maintain and grow)their workforce. Emergency services need a place to transport patients without traveling to distant places for routine care.

3. Public Safety

FAMILIES AND BUSINESSES WANT SECURITY and certainty. They want to spend their resources and time on positive things like growing, thriving and enjoying their time, not worrying about their safety. Public safety also reduces the catastrophic risk for a community.

4. Infrastructure

ROADS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART of our communities and serve as a silent foundation for community living and commerce. They provide for our safe travel, for the transportation of goods and services and serve as the path for our emergency providers to deliver their service. Water and sewer systems are also important. Infrastructure also needs consistent support and often requires improvement. Times of growth or when aging systems begin to fail are especially challenging.

5. Business / Commerce

COMMUNITIES THRIVE when there is commerce. An active industrial and business community provides support to the community through jobs, taxes, services and products.
